— sockets that can work completely independently and do not require connection to external gateways or intermediary devices — unlike slave models (see the relevant paragraph). At the same time, some of these devices themselves are able to play the role of a gateway for connecting slave sockets. Anyway, if you need only one smart socket, or if you are building a system of such sockets from scratch, you should pay attention to the leading type models.
