MIG/MAG torches
MIG/MAG
— the abbreviation MIG / MAG stands for electric welding with a consumable electrode in a protective gas environment — inert (MIG) or active (MAG). The first option is usually used for welding non-ferrous metals, the second — for steel; however, these methods do not differ in equipment requirements, therefore, when talking about burners, they are considered together. And the term "semi-automatic" in this case means that the welding process in such tools is only partially automated: the filler wire is fed using a special mechanism, and the torch has to be moved manually. On the one hand, this method is less accurate than machine welding; on the other hand, it gives greater freedom of action, allows you to work with parts of almost any shape (even the most complex), and besides, it does not require bulky expensive machines. No offers found
