— electric welding, carried out manually (without the use of welding machines) using TIG technology — a non-consumable electrode in an inert gas environment (most often argon, although other options are also allowed). Due to the arc ignited between the electrode and the seam, the edges of the seam are melted and connected; and the gas supplied to the place of heating protects the connection from contact with atmospheric air and ensures reliable solidification of the metal. In this case, the electrode material does not take part in the formation of the seam (in contrast to welding with consumable electrodes). This technology allows you to achieve a very even and neat seam, in addition, it is suitable even for joining parts with a small thickness. On the other hand, its productivity is low, and the operator requires high qualifications and accuracy in actions.
