Hair dryers from the Dyson Supersonic series belong to the high price category and are designed for both home and professional use. They primarily differ from most competitors visually due to their compact size, light weight, bright colors, and the recognizable ring-shaped opening at the top of the body, which promotes a powerful airflow. The digital brushless motor is moved into the handle, which makes the dryers ergonomic and comfortable even during prolonged drying. In addition to user-friendliness, they are aimed at effective work with minimal damage to hair. There is a gentle temperature (up to 100°C), powerful airflow for faster drying, intelligent sensors that measure and regulate heating temperature, and an ionization function.

Another distinctive feature of the Dyson Supersonic is the attachments with magnetic mounts. Depending on the model, these can include a diffuser, concentrator, Gentle Air in a star shape for sensitive scalps and fine hair, a comb, and the unique Flyaway attachment with Coanda effect for eliminating frizziness.

The series range offers several versions and generations of hair dryers. The simplified version Supersonic Origin comes only with a concentrator and is intended for those who do not need a wide variety of attachments. The Supersonic Professional Edition targets professionals and is equipped with a longer cord. The Supersonic Curly + Coily includes a special set of attachments for curly and coily hair, while Straight + Wavy is for straightening.

In 2024, the Supersonic Nural version debuted with "smart" features and intelligent sensors. These dryers continuously measure the distance to the head and automatically reduce the temperature when getting closer to protect hair and skin from overheating, recognize connected attachments, selecting the optimal airflow and temperature settings for them, and have a translucent top rim with lighting that changes colors depending on the temperature. Additionally, a special sensor records the hair dryer's position and automatically switches it to standby mode when the device is placed on a surface.

Another novelty of 2024 is the Supersonic R model with a curved r-shaped body. As a result, the dryer became 20% lighter and 30% smaller than previous models. Along with the powerful motor and intelligent temperature control, RFID technology was added for recognizing attachments and selecting optimal power and temperature settings, as well as memory for selected settings.
