— the Coanda attachment, like a curling iron, is used to create curls. It uses the effect of airflow clinging to a surface: the jet flows around the barrel and gently catches a strand, wrapping it without extreme heat. The conical (tapered) version creates a more natural-looking pattern than a straight one: looser at the roots and tighter toward the ends, which mimics a natural curl and helps add volume to fine hair. Compared to a classic curling iron, Coanda attachments grab a section faster, reduce the risk of overheating and frizz, and deliver the best results when hair is pre-dried to about 80% and set with a cool shot.
