Dissector Wide Trail 3C/EXO+/TR 29in Tire

We all know that gotta-go-fast feeling, and we're always chasing it. Maxxis, thankfully, is trying to enable us on that mission. They're working with top athletes to design tires that are ideal for dry, fast trails, and they're trying to be as versatile as possible. With their Dissector Wide Trail 3C/EXO+/TR Tire, we're seeing that need for speed,... morecombined with features catered to trail riders. The Dissector Wide Trail Tire aims to minimize drag while still retaining cornering control. It can be used as a front, a pair, or as a rear depending on the trail conditions and your mood that day. It weighs about what you'd expect for a 29in x 2. 6in Wide Trail tire at 1,049g, and it maintains a flexible 120tpi casing for smooth riding over trail obstacles. Maxxis's 3C Maxx Terra compound provides a high grip and EXO sidewall protection resists punctures from any jagged rocks on the trail.

Maxxis Dissector Tires - 29x2.6 TB00236900

From the Dissector, Troy Brosnan wanted to create a "unicorn tire" a center tread design that carried speed easily but with edge blocks worthy of world-class cornering speed. The Dissector center knobs are all heavily ramped to minimize drag, but retain sharp, flat edges along their backs to provide strong braking traction. Small sipes give the kno... morebs additional flexion, increasing their surface area during braking and aiding the transition to the edge blocks when cornering. A distinct channel along either side of the center knobs, along with ample spacing between all lugs helps to clear debris. *Recommended as a rear tire* FEATURES: - Dual Compound: Offers low rolling resistance and increased cornering traction - 3C MaxxTerra Compound: An intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions. - 3C MaxxGrip Compound: The stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber Maxxis offers in a mountain bike tire. This high traction compound is the same one used by our top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes and is now available in a variety of casing configurations to cover all riders. - EXO Casing: A cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis mountain bike and gravel tires. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for enhanced durability for gravel, XC, and light-duty trail riding. - EXO + Casing: Medium-duty puncture protection option suitable for all-around trail riding and light weight e-bikes. Beginning with a durable 60 TPI casing, add in legendary EXO puncture protection layer in the sidewalls, and top it off with a small butyl insert around the bead. The tough casing and EXO material ward off damage from rocks and roots, while the butyl insert protects the tire from pinch flats and helps prevent rim damage. - DoubleDown (DD) Casing: The casing solution for enduro racing and e-bike use. Two layers of our lightweight 120 TPI casing material are combined with a butyl sidewall insert to create a highly durable tire with more trail feedback than a Downhill casing tire. DoubleDown tires are marginally lighter than their Downhill counterparts, but it’s really the difference in “trail feel” that sets the two apart. Some riders may prefer the highly damped ride provided by a Downhill casing tire. - Downhill (DH) Casing: Designed for extreme use in all gravity applications from downhill racing to bike park riding to free riding to long travel e-bikes. A Maxxis Downhill tire is made with two layers of our durable 60 TPI casing material along with a large butyl rubber insert that extends from each bead into the sidewall. The butyl insert helps prevent pinch
