The macro lens uses a "flat field" optical design that reduces the curvature of the field of view to zero and guarantees excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. In the optical formula of the model, there are 9 elements combined in 8 groups. The lens weighs a little more than half a kilogram, it protrudes 9.5 cm in length, and its size in diameter is 7.3 cm. The size of the filter thread is 55 mm. The icing on the cake is the Tokina focus mechanism for quickly switching between auto and manual focus by moving the focus ring forward (turns on autofocus) or backward (manual focus).
