SteelSeries Apex 100

A backlit membrane keyboard marketed by the Danish company SteelSeries, which specializes in the production of computer accessories for gamers. The SteelSeries Apex 100 case received a full-size layout. One of the clan features of the keyboard is the ability to remap buttons. Using proprietary software, the user can reassign the functions of any buttons. If this is not enough, the software can also create fairly complex macros.

The keyboard has a single-colour blue backlighting, while it is concentrated between the keys, but the layout symbols are not highlighted. At the heart of the membrane design of the buttons is the Tension Switch system. The keys of this type are distinguished by solid reliability and durability, the resource of each button is about 20 million clicks. The key travel mimics the operation of more expensive mechanical buttons. So, the working stroke of the Tension Switch membrane is similar in effects to Cherry Brown. Connection to a computer is wired, USB 2.0 is supported, the cable length is 1.7 metres. The USB bus polling rate is represented by a range of values: 125, 250, 500 and 1000 Hz.
