New trends
SilverStone Decathlon DA850R is a computer power supply that fully complies with the two new standards ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen5. This means having a single 16-pin video card power connector instead of two separate 8-pin ones. For PCI-Express 4.0 video cards it is optional, while with the release of fifth-generation models it will become mandatory.
No frills
The power supply cables are completely modular, that is, every single one is removable, even those that power the processor and motherboard. Accordingly, you can leave only those necessary for your specific PC configuration in order to reduce the chaos of wires. The kit includes both a newfangled 16-pin video card cable and a classic 6+2-pin one.
Ultra compact
The power supply, although made in the full-size ATX format, is only 14 centimeters long, which makes it a suitable choice for building a Mini-ITX PC. The SilverStone company also specializes in compact computer cases, so it traditionally indicates in the power supply specifications the power in terms of the occupied volume - 471 watts per liter.
