One of the most affordable perforated mice

Redragon Storm is one of the most interesting options for gamers who are looking for an inexpensive yet high quality perforated mouse. One that will not fall apart after a couple of months of use and does not torment you with constant breakdowns. But you shouldn't expect miracles from it either, the $25 price tag is the entry level for gaming peripherals. Such devices are usually bought on a trial basis in order to understand how this format suits you, why an optical sensor from PixArt is better than no-name sensors from an old working mouse, and how useful the side buttons will be.

12400 DPI PixArt sensor

Redragon Storm stands out from other entry-level gaming models due to several things. Firstly, it is a fashionable mesh case with holes in the form of honeycombs, which looks interesting and reduces the weight of the mouse. Storm weighs 87 grams, which is almost one and a half times less than traditional gaming mice. Secondly, it has a PixArt 3327 optical sensor with a sensitivity of 12400 DPI and a maximum acceleration of 50 G, which in fact belongs to the average level and has proven itself well in shooters throughout its existence. It correctly handles rather sharp movements and does not suffer from random breakdowns.

Many advantages with few disadvantages

The optical sensor is complemented by Huano switches with a resource of 20 million clicks. Of course, this is not an Omron, but for this price it is quite good. The case itself is well balanced, and rubberized side inserts reduce slipping in the hand during combat. The cable, as expected, is braided, on the left side there are a couple of additional keys, and 3 more buttons are hidden under the wheel to switch the sensitivity. For the sake of either beauty or fashion, several RGB LEDs were hidden around the perimeter of the case and the scroll wheel. They look neat, do not hit the eyes and do not distract from the game. The only thing that confuses against the background of all the pluses is the harsh scroll wheel, as in the Blade and Mirage models.
