Video reviews

At first glance, the Razer Kiyo Pro is easily mistaken for an interchangeable camera lens. In fact, this is a completely original device for video streaming, streaming and online conferences.

HDR video

Webka inherited the design of the previous Razer Kiyo model, but lost its main feature — the LED backlight ring around the lens. Instead, the Pro version of the camera was taught to shoot HDR video at a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels at 30 fps. As a result, the model is good at shooting in backlit conditions. A vivid example of this is ensuring optimal visibility of a person in the frame against the background of an uncurtained window. In normal mode, the picture on the webcam is recorded in the same Full HD format, but at a frame rate of 60 fps.

Lens protection

The camera lens is “covered” with Gorilla Glass 3. Paranoids will appreciate the completeness of the “webcam” with a protective cover for the lens. The product is hung on the upper face of the monitor case. The webcam can also be mounted on a tripod. The sound on the Razer Kiyo Pro is recorded in stereo and is many times better than the built-in microphones of portable computers.

Function utility

The level of user interaction with the model is brought to a new qualitative level in the proprietary Razer Synapse utility. It provides tools for quickly switching the field of view (80, 90 or 103), there are sliders for adjusting brightness, contrast and manual focus adjustment. But the camera's autofocus system turned out to be too sensitive — it reacts to the slightest hand gestures in the frame, forcing the focus point to fidget back and forth. Despite this nuance, it is one of the most advanced "webs" in the class.
