A large 4K monitor with a large, detailed 31.5-inch screen, support for high dynamic range (HDR10) images and a glossy anti-glare coating. It features ultra-high true resolution (3840x2160), improved colour gamut (95% DCI P3) and high-quality factory calibration, which allows you to use the monitor for professional graphics work. Positioned as a universal model for entry-level workstations and home use. The screen of the LG 32UK550 monitor uses a proprietary AH-IPS matrix with a colour bit depth of 10 bits / channel (8-bit + FRC), which is capable of displaying more than a billion colours and subtle colour shades. Thanks to its high resolution, it provides enhanced image detail (139 ppi) and creates a smooth picture without signs of pixelation. Good maximum brightness (300 cd/m2) and impro...ved static contrast ratio (3000:1) with excellent viewing angles (up to 178°) make it possible to fully work with the highest quality photo and video images. Support for AMD FreeSync technology and a relatively fast response time of the matrix (4 ms GtG) ensure the clarity of the display of dynamic scenes of computer games. The monitor is equipped with an ergonomic stand with height adjustment (110 mm lift) and screen tilt angle (from -5 to +15°).

Large monitor for the whole family

In the current realities, when the introduction of new technologies (curved matrices, high resolution, Freesync 2) has gradually settled down, it turned out that a large and high-quality 4K monitor does not have to cost like a gaming computer. This thesis is easily confirmed by the versatile and inexpensive 32-inch LG 32UK550, which is suitable for a variety of scenarios.

Large colour gamut and HDR support

The first is, in fact, work and multimedia. For these purposes, there is a large, pseudo 10-bit VA matrix with anti-glare coating, standard brightness margin, high contrast and HDR support. Add in natural colour reproduction (99% sRGB coverage and 95% DCI P3 coverage) and you have a great monitor for graphics work. It will definitely not be able to compete with professional models from NEC and Eizo, but for basic work with colour correction and similar tasks, it handles quite skillfully. However you will have to sit right in front of the monitor, since even at a slight angle the picture begins to fade. Of course, IPS matrices are much more convenient in this regard.

Game Features

More games. The VA matrix shows a pretty good response time of 4ms, which is enough for most gamers who are not used to expensive gaming monitors with a response of 1ms. Of the purely gaming features, there is AMD FreeSync support for eliminating image tearing in dynamic scenes, a Black Stabilizer feature for highlighting especially dark areas in the game, and LG's Dynamic Action Sync proprietary development, which allows you to minimize image refresh delays. It is a pity that the refresh rate is only 60 Hz, which does not allow it to be written 100% into gaming monitors.

Beware of flashes

Among other features, we highlight the standard ability to change the angle of the screen (from -5 to +15 °) and a pair of built-in speakers of 5 watts. The disco will not be shaken, but in which case they will come in handy. Well, the disadvantages include the uneven illumination, which varies from model to model. Judging by some reviews, it is quite ok, while others, on the contrary, have noticeable light. So pay attention to this point before buying.
