Sound! It's awesome here. Great bass! Don't be fooled by its size, it's really loud. Nice materials. Carrying handle (I want to figure out a way to attach a longer strap, although maybe I'll just order a special case). 24 hours on a charge, well, unless you want to listen to a monotonous podcast without bass) |
Well, what can I say, the choice was tough: Marshal, Sony, Harman/Kardon, and JBL. Each has its pros and cons. But the choice fell on JBL, simply because, back in the day, I got my hands on the Charge 4 for just one day... But that was enough to fall in love with it. When the power outages began, I wanted some portable sound that I could turn on during workouts or have playing in the background while doing household chores. And I remembered how much I liked the Charge 4 back then. So the choice fell on the brand-new Charge 6, to have it under the tree. What can I say, this is top-notch. I never thought you could get so much sound out of such a small speaker, and playing in mono at that. The sound is clear, the bass is powerful. Old tracks sounded new. I have quite a lot of acoustics, like 2.0, 2.1, 3.1, 5.1, and a bunch of headphones, but this 1.0 sounds different, there is some kind of magic to it. Plus, it has IP68 protection, so it can be submerged in water (it stays afloat) and isn't afraid of dust or sand. The package is quite simple, the speaker, the manual, a warranty, and a small carry strap. The materials are great, it feels wonderful in hand, you can immediately tell it's a branded item. I was a bit worried I might get a fake, and I had already read up on how to spot a counterfeit, but everything turned out fine. The speaker came in original packaging, with serial numbers, connected to the app on the phone, and got updated. Compact, powerful, great sound, works as a power bank, IP68, lasts a long time I can't wait to see |
Signature sound
The speaker delivers signature JBL Pro Sound with an emphasis on rich bass, powered by a woofer and a pair of tweeters. Total output reaches 40 W. If you need more volume, you can boost it by linking multiple devices via Auracast. You can also connect two smartphones or tablets to one speaker via Bluetooth at the same time.
Easy control
The JBL Charge 6 sits horizontally, and non-slip silicone strips on the body keep it stable. The control buttons are on top, and you can access settings remotely through the JBL Portable app. It offers a 7-band equalizer and four ready-made sound presets.
Long-lasting performance
The model is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance and delivers up to 24 hours of continuous playback thanks to a 4722 mAh battery. Charging is via a USB Type-C port, which also serves for a wired connection to audio sources and the power bank function for charging external devices.

The battery life is good, but the stated 24–28 hours, in my opinion, is only possible in ideal laboratory conditions. In real use, it lasts less, but it’s still long enough that I don't have to think about recharging constantly.
The speaker is convenient, looks high-quality, and feels like a reliable item. For home, travel, or just background music while working — it's a great option. I’m happy with the purchase and definitely don't regret choosing this model.
