The Charge family from the eminent American brand JBL includes compact portable speakers with wireless bluetooth connection, long battery life, powerful booming sound and mandatory water protection of the case. They were created with the sole purpose of brightening up the outdoors by taking music with you to the country house, the sea or nature.

One of the features of this series is the long battery life. The average JBL Charge speaker can play music for 20 hours, after which it will need to be recharged. Naturally, the final result largely depends on the maximum volume and the included additional functions in the manner of JBL Connect / PartyBoost or the activation of the power-bank mode. In the latter case, the built-in battery of the JBL speaker can be used to recharge a dead smartphone, smart headphones, smartwatches and other gadgets.

The first iterations of the Charge speakers used batteries up to 6000 mAh, but in 2018 they were replaced by more powerful 7500 mAh batteries. First of all, this was necessary in order to increase the power of the portable speaker. If the JBL Charge 3 portable speaker released in 2016 provided only 20 watts of output power, then its successor JBL Charge 5, presented in early 2021, doubled the output power to 40 watts. Yes, and the sound quality over the years has grown quite significantly. Current models sound very, very balanced, seeing a clear accented bass even at low volumes.
