Mobile and fully protected from dust and water, a mid-power wireless speaker system with high-quality sound, built-in microphone for hands-free calling and excellent autonomy. This portable speaker is positioned as a mid-range product designed for indoor and outdoor use. An important feature of this model is the improved design of linear diffusers of two active radiators. Unlike traditional circular drivers, which concentrate most of their power in an angle of about 100°, Sony's linear cone drivers provide a much larger dispersion angle for a wider footprint. The maximum sound pressure of low frequencies is also increased to create an even deeper and richer bass sound. The practical case of the Sony X-Series SRS-XE200 speaker system is made of durable ABS plastic and has a moderate weight of 800 g. In addition to two active X-Balanced Speaker radiators, it has two side low-frequency resonators. Pairing with the source is done using Bluetooth 5.2, with support for AAC and LDAC codecs.

Linear diffuser

Sony took inspiration from professional concert audio systems when creating this speaker, equipping it with a new linear cone. Instead of the usual round diffusers, a shape resembling an oval or triangle is used here, which increases sound pressure, improves bass, suppresses vibrations and distributes sound evenly. The speaker is equipped with dual passive radiators for bass. Total power isn't specified, but the sound is clear and rich, although larger rooms may need to crank the volume up to maximum.

Connection is carried out exclusively via Bluetooth 5.2. The device can be used for hands-free calling thanks to its echo cancellation function. Control is carried out through buttons on the body and a proprietary mobile application. There is a microphone mute button on the control panel for increased privacy. The Stereo Pair function allows you to combine two devices into a stereo pair, and Party Connect allows you to synchronize up to 100 speakers.

Fast charging and battery life up to 16 hours

Sony doesn't specify battery capacity, but a single charge lasts up to 16 hours at medium volume. A quick charge of 10 minutes provides 70 minutes of runtime. Charging is via USB-C, cable included.

Stylish and compact

The appearance of the model is stylish and expensive. The body is made of matte plastic, which collects fingerprints but is easy to clean.
