Intel Wireless-AC 7265
Internal (embedded) dual-band wireless adapter supporting Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 with an M.2 2230 interface. It features a compact uncased design (22 x 30 x 2.4 mm) that allows easy installation on both full-sized and small form factor motherboards of ATX/microATX/mini-ITX standards. Thanks to its ultra-light weight (2 g), it is perfect for laptops. It boasts high theoretical throughput up to 1200 Mbps.
In practice, to take advantage of the high-speed data transmission capabilities of the Intel Wireless-AC 7265 Wi-Fi adapter, the entire wireless infrastructure, including the router or access point, needs to comply with Wi-Fi 802.11ac (MU-MIMO 2x2) specifications. When using budget routers, the speed will not exceed 100-140 Mbps (2.4 GHz) or 300-350 Mbps when using the 5 GHz band. It provides backward compatibility with the previous wireless data transmission standard Wi-Fi 4. For reliable connectivity, the adapter board is equipped with two connectors for antenna connections.
