Built-in (internal) dual-band adapter for creating wireless connections of the Wi-Fi 5 standard and Bluetooth 4.2 LE. Connects to the M.2 port, which is equipped with the vast majority of current models of motherboards. It has a compact frameless design (22x30x2.4 mm), which allows it to easily fit on full-sized and small-sized boards that meet the ATX / microATX / mini-ITX standards.

Thanks to its impressively low weight (3 g), it is perfect for installation in mobile devices (laptops and ultrabooks). It has an impressive theoretical throughput: 300 Mbps (in the 2.4 GHz band) or 867 Mbps (in the 5 GHz band). In order to take advantage of the high-speed data transfer of the Intel 8265NGW Dual Band Wi-Fi Adapter in fact, it is necessary that the entire wireless infrastructure, including a router or access point, comply with Wi-Fi 5 specifications with support for dual data transmission (MU-MIMO 2x2). In the case of using popular home routers of the AC900 class, the speed will not exceed 100-110 Mbps (in the 2.4 GHz band) or 300-350 Mbps (at a carrier frequency of 5 GHz). Also worth noting is full backwards compatibility with previous IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi standards. Two external Wi-Fi antennas are provided.
