OLED Displays
The external display of the smartphone retains a diagonal size similar to its predecessor, the Honor Magic V3—6.43 inches. It uses an OLED matrix with a resolution of 2376x1080 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The internal screen when unfolded has a size of 7.95 inches. It is also based on an OLED panel, but with LTPO support and a higher resolution of 2352x2172 pixels. The hinge mechanism is designed for more than 500,000 opening and closing cycles.
Five Cameras
The external and internal screens feature 20-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls. The main photoblock is housed in a circular module on the back of the body and includes three sensors: a 50 MP main camera with optical stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module, and a 64 MP telephoto lens. However, the main camera block protrudes noticeably from the body, making the ultra-thin profile of the device less prominent.
Performance Without Compromise
The Honor Magic V5 easily handles demanding games and heavy applications. The smartphone runs on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, complemented by 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a built-in 512 GB storage. A separate S1 coprocessor ensures data security, while the E1 chip helps reduce power consumption and improve battery life, and the C1+ radio module enhances connection stability where the network signal is lacking.
Fast Charging
The device's body is protected against dust and moisture as per the IP59 standard. The regular versions of the smartphone have a battery capacity of 5820 mAh, while the version with increased storage has a 6100 mAh battery. Regardless of the version, it supports fast wired charging at 66 W, wireless charging at 50 W, and reverse charging for accessories at 5 W.
