A fast, low-noise and energy-efficient multifunctional inkjet device in A4 format, which is a full-featured color printer with a continuous ink feed system (CISS) and a flatbed CIS scanner equipped with an automatic document feeder (ADF, up to 35 pages). In addition to an inkjet printer that supports automatic two-sided printing, it can operate in digital copier mode with a fast two-sided scaling function and act as a fax machine.
Positioned as a product in the upper mid-price category of 2022, focused on use in office environments and serving the needs of small work groups of up to 5 people. The most important feature of the Epson EcoTank ET-5170 MFP is a reliable standard CISS with large ink tanks, which slightly increases the cost of the device, but significantly reduces the cost of output. The proprietary PrecisionCore Print Head technology using fast-drying DURABrite Ultra pigment ink, monitoring and compensation functions for clogged nozzles allows for fast and high-quality printing. A flatbed CIS scanner with high optical resolution ensures fast scanning, and an auto-feeding system automates monotonous work with multi-page documents. Thanks to the Ethernet LAN port and Wi-Fi 4 module, the MFP is easily integrated into cable and wireless networks.
