3D printers with closed building chamber
prices on 52 modelsClosed chamber
— the printer has a closed print chamber.Such a working area can have varying degrees of isolation — from a platform fenced on four sides, to a sealed compartment with the possibility of creating a vacuum or a protective atmosphere for specific printing technologies. These nuances should be clarified separately. However, anyway, this feature provides a number of important advantages. First of all, it protects the printed product from dust, moisture and other contaminants. In addition, in FFF/FDM printers (see "Printing Technology") and similar devices, the closed design allows to achieve more uniform cooling and avoids deformation due to material shrinkage. And almost all SLA and DLP units have such a design — even in the simplest models from this category, the working area is covered at least with a light filter that protects the user from bright light.
The main disadvantages of models with this layout are the increased dimensions, weight and price compared to the "open" counterparts. Thus, our catalog also provides the opportunity to choose 3D printers with an open print chamber (see the relevant paragraph).
