Stainless steel

— a type of steel that is practically not subject to corrosion — hence the name. In addition to water resistance, such steel is strong and durable, and it also looks good; many products made of this material do not use additional coatings at all. On the other hand, such products are not cheap, and the described properties can be achieved by less expensive methods — for example, using chrome-plated brass. Therefore, "stainless steel" is used mainly in premium shower sets.
