— mineral oils include oils extracted from petroleum by distillation and not subjected to chemical transformations during the production process. The main advantage of such brands is the low cost, due to the ease of production. On the other hand, natural petroleum products lose out to synthetic substances in many respects — in particular, they are sensitive to frost and oxidize faster; and it is very difficult, if not impossible, to achieve compliance with increasingly stringent standards and tolerances in such oils.
