At the same time, unlike the "big brothers", radio-controlled gliders are equipped with engines. However, due to the characteristics of the wing, stable flight does not require constant operation of the motor, and some models even have propellers made of soft material so that the blades “off-duty” are pressed against the body by the flow and do not create additional resistance. In general, gliders are designed to fly long, smoothly, and without any acrobatics.
