Note that usually we are talking only about external similarity, jet engines in radio-controlled models are almost never used because of the complexity and high cost. Instead of an open screw in such models, an impeller is used — an impeller installed inside the case; such devices are safer, but more difficult, more expensive and harder to repair and replace. Therefore, there are relatively few "jet" radio-controlled aircraft. However, they can be both "beginner" and acrobatic (see relevant paragraphs).
