— a distinctive feature of all adjustable wrenches is the ability to change the working size. To do this, one of the sponges is made movable; in general, adjustable wrenches can have a different design. Most often in tool sets there are “plumbing” varieties, which are similar in shape to conventional open-end wrenches (see the relevant paragraph). Another option is “gas”, or pipe, with curved jaws that clamp the fastener during operation. Anyway, adjustable wrenches are very versatile — one tool can be used with fasteners of different sizes.
