— plastic is often considered a relatively inexpensive and fragile material, but in the case of axes, this is most often not true. For ax handles, mainly high-quality grades of plastic are used, which in terms of characteristics are not inferior or only slightly inferior to fibreglass (see the relevant paragraph). They have the same advantages and disadvantages: on the one hand, lightness and durability, on the other hand, high cost, impossibility of replacement and a tendency to spring on some surfaces.
