— a tool with round jaws. Usually both jaws are made round, but there are also so-called "half-round pliers", where one jaw is straight; similar tools are also included in this category. In addition, we note that most often the sponges are in the form of cones (tapering towards the end), tools with a cylindrical working part are much less common.

Anyway, the main purpose of the round pliers is to bend wire and sheet metal; they can also be used for point capture. At the same time, conical jaws are convenient in that they allow you to choose the diameter of the rounding, however, with such a tool it is impossible to wind several turns of the same size in a row. The cylindrical shape makes it easy to create a spring from several identical coils, but these coils can only be of one, certain size.
