Combination pliers
Pliers
— a versatile tool that has practically replaced the classic pliers. The main feature of pliers is the presence of at least one more working device, in addition to the flat jaws themselves. The classic version of such a device is jagged recesses on both (most often) jaws, which allow you to capture and rotate cylindrical parts; it is the notched tool (regardless of other functions) that is considered pliers in the classical sense of the word. However, in addition to this, this category also includes the so-called "universal pliers", in which flat jaws are supplemented with cutting edges that work similarly to side cutters. And the most versatile models combine four functions at once: flat jaws, recesses, side cutters and devices for cutting thin wire (in the form of characteristic recesses on the outer sides of the sponges).Note that the length of the jaws in the pliers is usually small. This provides good working force, but can make it difficult to work in hard-to-reach places; for such cases, it is better to use long-nose pliers (see the relevant paragraph). However, there are exceptions: in some of the “universal pliers” mentioned above, the length of the jaws is comparable to the characteristics of long-nose pliers. It is also worth saying that some pliers of an elongated design may belong to different sellers both in this category and in long-nose pliers,
