The principle of their operation, usually, is that the tile is cut through with a roller cutter and then broken at the incision site using a special lever. The advantages of such models are simplicity, low price, independence from electricity and portability. However, the cut (fault) turns out to be less accurate than that of electric tile cutters, and manual devices do not work well with thick materials.
