This design reduces the risk of injury to the rider in the event of a velomobile overturn: even lying upside down, the velomobile will rest on the front end and on the roll bar, leaving enough room for the rider's head not to touch the ground; and the driver was able to get out from under the car without any problems. Some models that do not include a roll bar may be available to purchase separately.
