Hand brake

— the hand brake used in modern velomobiles, usually, serves as an addition to the pedal one and most often works not as a parking brake, but directly while driving. It is more convenient to brake with a lever specially allocated for this purpose than with pedals. Also note that this method of control is well suited for powerful disc brakes, which can be installed in some high-speed models.
