Non-contact taps
Contactless
— taps controlled by proximity sensors. The most common type of such devices is models for washbasins, where it is enough to bring your hands under the spout to turn on the water. There are other types of non-contact models — in particular, devices for the kitchen or shower (in the latter case, the sensor responds to the whole person). The key advantage of this control method is the ability to turn on the water without touching the mixer. This is especially useful in public areas. Among the disadvantages of non-contact models, in addition to high cost and power requirements, one can name the moment that the sensor does not allow you to adjust the pressure or temperature — it only works as a simple switch. However, in the same "public" washbasins this is not critical, and in models for home use, valves, levers and other similar equipment for adjusting the pressure / temperature may be provided.
