Single lever taps
Single lever (joystick)
— mixers controlled by a single lever — "joystick". In most of these models, the lever can be rotated along two axes, while one axis is responsible for changing the temperature, the second for adjusting the pressure. Thus, these parameters can be adjusted independently of each other — change the temperature without changing the pressure, and vice versa. On the other hand, single-lever models are less accurate in adjustment than similar two-valve ones; also they do not behave very well with a serious difference in pressure between hot and cold plumbing.A rarer and more specific type of such mixers are devices where the lever is only responsible for pressure. At the same time, the design may provide an additional temperature control lever, however, there are also single-temperature models — for example, for drinking water filters.
