Security motion sensors

 

— sensors that respond to movement in the field of view. Note that this category includes only those motion sensors that have a purely security specialization and are not intended for lighting control (see "light sensors").

The principle of operation of such devices can be different, the most popular options are infrared and microwave. To prevent false positives, they often provide both a general sensitivity adjustment and special immunity to animals (see "Features"). Motion detection can also be combined with vibration, breaking and/or temperature detection.
