Graphite

— a pencil or a set of pencils, where the writing rod is made of graphite without colour additives. Such graphite provides a characteristic grey colour and is erased much more easily than coloured graphite. Pencils are widely used where the use of colour is not needed — in particular, for notes, technical drawings, graphics, etc.
