Reverse stroke

— possibility of movement of the unit in the opposite direction. This feature is relevant only for classic plate compactors (see "Type"); it makes it easier to work in narrow spaces, allowing the tool to “drive out” of such a space without turning around (for which there may simply not be room). However reversible vibratory plates are much more expensive than linear ones.
