IR illumination (night shooting)

— the capability of the camera, which is equipped with the video panel (see "Type"), to operate in night mode using infrared illumination. This lighting is invisible to the human eye but is perfectly perceived by the camera sensor. It allows for capturing a clear image without using sources of visible light and without creating unnecessary "illumination"—although colors in such an image are lost, resulting in a black-and-white picture.
