— all internal combustion engines (both gasoline and diesel) can have noticeably more power than electric ones; in addition, they are completely autonomous and do not require nearby outlets. At the same time, units with such engines are more expensive (both when buying and in operation due to the high price of fuel), they are more demanding to maintain, and the exhaust gases that occur during operation create inconvenience and limit indoor use. Because of this, internal combustion engines are installed mainly in professional shredder models, for which high power is a determining factor. Gasoline engines, on the other hand, are somewhat inferior in torque to diesel ones, and fuel for them is more expensive; on the other hand, they are cheaper in themselves and easier to maintain, and the difference in traction is usually not critical. Therefore, most modern shredders with internal combustion engines are equipped with this particular type of engine.
