Glass food containers

 

— glass is considered one of the best food storage materials. First of all, it calmly tolerates substances that can damage plastic or cause oxidation of unprotected metal — for example, acids (vinegar, citrus juice, etc.). Secondly, the glass is transparent, which allows you to see the contents directly through the walls of the container. Thirdly, such vessels, usually, are quite compatible with microwaves, dishwashers, and sometimes even ovens. At the same time, this material is not particularly expensive. But it is extremely undesirable to use such containers for transporting food — glass, even thick, is a rather fragile material and does not withstand shock well.
