In 2015, Tapio Wirkkala would have been 100 years old. To celebrate that milestone, Iittala has released the Ultima Thule Carafe - Wirkkala Anniversary. This vessel has the distinctive look of melting more→ice. It was an original design concept by Wirkkala to evoke the melting ice of Lapland (his home), and one that is executed by pressing glass in special molds. Color: Clear.

The Iittala Ultima Thule Pitcher has an ice cold look well-suited to the water, juice or margaritas you'll pour from it. Its unique melting ice pattern came about in 1968 with the evolution of designe more→r Tapio Wirkkala's original carved pattern, which gradually changed as glass burned through the wood mold.
