Thin porcelain is translucent (partly translucent); in addition, such utensils, when lightly struck, emit a clear ringing sound, and its outer surface can be covered with painting. In addition to aesthetic advantages, porcelain also has practical ones: it does not darken over time, and hot tea or coffee poured into it quickly cools to a comfortable temperature. Dishes made of such material are quite expensive, but they create a very pleasant impression both in appearance and in use.
