RC cars with ICE

— an internal combustion engine that uses a special fuel — usually methanol combined with nitromethane and some additional ingredients. Such a mixture, according to its characteristics, is much better than gasoline for small engines installed in large-scale models (by the way, such engines cannot be refueled with gasoline). By itself, the internal combustion engine outperforms the electric one in realism: the sound of the machine becomes similar to the sound of a real car, and the need for rather complex maintenance (up to sorting out) is perceived by many enthusiasts as an additional advantage. In addition, refueling when the fuel in the tank is exhausted takes a couple of minutes on the strength (unlike electric motors of similar power, where you have to charge the batteries). At the same time, due to noise and exhaust gases, internal combustion engines are practically unsuitable for indoor use, and fuel specifically for this variety must be bought in special stores. Separately, we note that cars with internal combustion engines, usually, still require a power source for the receiver and control electronics.ICE (fuel) | clear | Save List |
