— the main distinguishing feature of deposit safes is the presence of an additional drop compartment above the main one. This compartment usually opens without a key, but all items placed inside (most often it is cash) fall into the main compartment when the drop one is closed. This allows to replenish the safe without even having a key for it. Deposit safes are often used in bank departments, retail outlets, etc. It is also worth noting that the presence of a slot for money (on top or on the door) also makes the safe deposit one.
