Dumbbell bar

— the dumbbell bar is designed for the installation and fixation of plates. A dumbbell bar differs from a barbell bar with its shorter length and is intended for a single-hand grip. A standard set includes two bars, allowing both hands to be engaged during a workout in a single session.

Dumbbell bars may differ in their method of plate fixation. The mounting areas for plates are secured either with nuts or spring locks (clips). Additionally, dumbbell bars may vary in the material of manufacture. The bar can be either metallic or plastic. Many bars have a rubber-coated grip surface, which helps protect the skin on the palms.
