— as the name implies, electromagnets are used in such load systems — special coils that create a magnetic field, which “slows down” the pedals when moving. Among the advantages of such a design, one can note the high accuracy of load adjustment and the possibility of using advanced information systems. On the other hand, coils are not cheap, and significant power consumption requires either connecting such a machine to the mains (which limits mobility) or installing a built-in generator (which increases the cost even more).
