— electric motors powered by the vacuum cleaner's own battery. All electric motors (regardless of the power source — mains or battery) compare favorably with gasoline ones with their light weight, lack of exhaust gases, relatively low noise level, as well as simplicity and low cost (both in terms of purchase and operation). On the other hand, it is difficult to use powerful electric motors in garden vacuum cleaners for a number of reasons; therefore, the vast majority of electric models are of the manual type (see "Design") and are not designed for large volumes of work. The main advantage of the battery type of electric vacuum cleaners (compared to the mains one) is the ability to work regardless of the presence of outlets nearby — such models do not need to be connected to the network. At the same time, with equal power, battery units are heavier and more expensive than network ones, and the battery capacity is not infinite, which imposes restrictions on the time of continuous operation. In this regard, battery power is provided mainly in the most compact garden vacuum cleaners of low power.
