Electric (mains)

— electric engines powered by 230 V. All electric engines (regardless of the power source — mains or battery) differ favorably from petrol ones with their light weight, absence of exhaust gases, relatively low noise level, as well as simplicity and low cost (as regards both device and operation cost). On the other hand, it is difficult to use powerful electric engines in garden vacuums for a number of reasons; therefore, the vast majority of electric models are of the manual type (see "Design") and are not designed for large volumes of work. As for mains-powered vacuums, they are more powerful and at the same time lighter than their battery counterparts, they have practically no restrictions on the time of continuous operation (the device will function as long as there is mains voltage), however, the mains cable and the need to connect to a socket limit freedom of movement.
