The R1 and R2 ringers are made from zinc plated malleable iron. The R1 comes without the spring assist while the R2 has the spring assist to help keep the ring in the pliers.

The 15-S is a reversible galvanized spring steel combs with two different teeth patterns. One side is a long tooth for shedding and the other is short for dusting and light hair removal.
