The MiJia brand is one of the most recognizable in the Xiaomi ecosystem. It combines mainly those devices that are associated with the concept of "smart home". An exception to the rule is branded DVRs. You can’t call them to the “smart home”, however, the devices of the series still did not deprive them of smart functionality.

The "smart" ins and outs of the models of the MiJia family is issued by the on-board Wi-Fi module armed with the DVRs of the series. Through it, the head units communicate wirelessly with a connected smartphone, from which you can control the settings of the car recorder, view footage, etc. For these purposes, the notorious Mi Home mobile application is used.

Xiaomi MiJia is a guard of "smart" DVRs of the Chinese "breed".

The heart of Xiaomi MiJia DVRs is usually a high-quality matrix from Sony, which, together with wide-angle optics, provides excellent visibility of the road situation and good clarity of car license plates (including when the frame is not well lit). Recording on the cameras of the line is performed cyclically, the footage is stored on a microSD memory card. Important files are protected from being overwritten by a customizable G-sensor, which saves video fragments at the moment of sharp accelerations, decelerations and bumps of the car.

The traditional form factor of the series devices is like a small “soap box” camera with a suction cup mount on the windscreen. In matters of power supply, Xiaomi MiJia DVRs are no different from their peers. Their main power supply is provided from the cigarette lighter socket through a pre-stretched cable, the backup is from a built-in small capacity rechargeable battery. Another weighty argument “for” in favor of the devices of the family is a loyal pricing policy for products.
