— "European" batteries are distinguished primarily by terminals that are somewhat recessed into the case; in addition, these terminals are usually larger than the "Asian" ones. Note that the recessed contacts reduce the risk of a short circuit when foreign objects get on the cover (or when the battery falls with the cover down).
